Under commercial arrangement with Catfish Mini Dredgers, we can deliver small scale dredging projects cost effectively using a floating pontoon-based systems. The mini-dredge is best suited for:
The Catfish Mini Dredger is easily transported on a flat bed or 20 foot container, weighing sub 2 tonne.
Both self contained and self propelled as well as being remote-control in sheltered waters, the type two mini dredger can excavate from 3.5m to 5m depth and the type one dredge can operate in water depths greater than 20m.
The unmanned mini dredger offers a significant advantage of not placing personnel overwater during operations, ideally suited to tailing dams and any calm waterbody where overwater works need to be minimised.
AMA can assist with preparing any licences required for the dredging works as well as testing of dredge material, disposal to reclamation or beneficial reuse of dredge material, such as beach re-nourishment (if material is deemed suitable).
We recently undertook works in Apollo Bay Marina using a mini-dredge system with the aid of AMA Commercial divers for Colac Shire Council.
